Image Splitter — Slice Any Image Into a Grid of Tiles
An image splitter is the fastest way to turn a single picture into a clean grid of equally sized tiles. Whether you're planning an Instagram 3×3 grid post, building a giant printable poster from A4 sheets, exporting a sprite sheet for a game, or preparing tiles for a jigsaw-style social media reveal, manually cropping pieces in Photoshop is slow and error-prone. This tool does the entire split server-side in a single click and gives you a tidy ZIP back.
Under the hood the splitter is powered by ImageMagick, the same library that drives most professional image pipelines. It opens your image, divides it into an N × M grid of equal-width and equal-height tiles, and re-encodes each tile as a separate file. The last column and row absorb any leftover pixels so nothing is lost when your image dimensions don't divide perfectly — every original pixel ends up in exactly one tile.
You get full control over the grid: pick from quick presets (2×2, 3×3, 4×4, Instagram panorama) or set rows and columns independently anywhere from 1 to 10 each. Output format can be PNG (keeps transparency, perfect for logos and graphics) or JPG (smaller files, ideal for photos). Tile filenames are zero-padded and labeled with their row/column so they're easy to drop into Instagram, a print template, or a CSS sprite generator in the right order.
Your image is processed in memory on our servers and immediately discarded — nothing is stored, indexed, or shared. The tool handles uploads up to 10 MB, which covers virtually every Instagram-ready export, scanned poster, or game spritesheet.
How It Works
Upload Your Image
Drag and drop a PNG, JPG, WebP, or BMP, or click to browse.
Choose Your Grid
Pick a preset like 3×3 or set rows and columns manually (up to 10 × 10).
Download the ZIP
Get all tiles in one ZIP, named by row and column so the order is obvious.
Why Use Our Tool?
Custom Grid Sizes
Anything from 1×2 up to 10×10 — perfect for Instagram grids, puzzles, or huge print posters.
Lossless Tile Edges
Tiles are cut from pixel boundaries with no resampling, so edges line back up perfectly when reassembled.
PNG or JPG Output
Pick PNG to keep transparency for graphics, or JPG to shrink photographic tiles.
Predictable Filenames
Each tile is named with zero-padded row and column numbers so reassembly is foolproof.
One ZIP Download
All tiles arrive in a single ZIP — no clicking through multiple downloads.
Private & Secure
Images are processed in memory and never stored on our servers.
