Higher levels are smaller but slower. Already-compressed files (JPG, MP4, PDF) won't shrink much.
When set, the archive is password-protected and works with Windows Explorer, macOS Archive Utility, 7-Zip, WinZip, and Keka. Recipients will be prompted for this password when extracting.
ZIP File Maker — Bundle Files Into One Archive
ZIP is still the universal file-bundling format: it's supported natively by Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, every email client, and every cloud storage service. Whether you're packaging a folder of photos for a client, attaching multiple documents to a single email, or preparing assets for upload to a CMS that only accepts one file at a time, a ZIP archive is the cleanest way to do it.
This tool builds ZIP files entirely in your browser using the battle-tested JSZip library. There is no upload step — your files stay on your device the whole time, which makes it safe for contracts, medical records, source code, client deliverables, and anything else you can't put on a third-party server. The output is a standard PKZIP-compatible .zip file that opens with the built-in unzip tool on every major operating system.
Pick any compression level from 0 (Store — no compression, fastest) to 9 (Maximum — smallest file, slowest). Text-heavy files like CSV, JSON, HTML, source code, and Office documents typically shrink 60–90% with the default level 6. Already-compressed formats like JPG, PNG, MP4, and PDF will barely change in size — the ZIP container mostly serves to bundle them together rather than to reduce them further. There's no file count limit and no per-file size limit beyond what your browser's memory can hold.
